Quotes!

This is a collection of artist's quotes laid out in a poster format. I love the contrast of the textured background and rough edges against the clean and bold text. I think the quotes themselves are wonderful, and the layout is very modern, which is an interesting take on such dated (although still very applicable) quotes.

Ron Mueck

Mueck’s sculptures faithfully reproduce the minute detail of the human body, but play with scale to produce disconcertingly jarring visual images.

I was looking up some stuff and came across this image..it's similar to some things tiffany posted in the past, i just thought it was really interesting. The way the design is used in his body, it's really crazy and it has a tattoo aspect to it, i just love it.

Chad_new image

Hey guys, here's another image that caught my eye. I like the use of the bright warm colors. Also it is nice how this artist is able to outline the face and all the aspects about it to give it a clear look of what this person looks like with just lines. You can find this image at:

Agua by Flor Garduňo

This is a photographer whose work I really like. There's a magical, almost surreal, quality to her photos. I like this photo because of the light, the way the waterfall in the background stands out and frames the water nymph in the foreground.

Some City Photography

I'm a big fan of the city and all the different elements it captures, with grid structure, movement, contrast, colors, alignment. I like to use different images such as these as a template for a layout spread. here are some of the images i've used already and other ones I have yet to use.

Mosaic

I always find mosaic art really interesting to look at. It is a form of art that would like to try sometime.
I especially like this one because the artist used some different objects to create it. It looks like it contains some of the typical objects that are used for making mosaics such as some rocks and beeds but they also used bigger and untraditional objects like the geers that make up her hair.

Simplicity

This image caught my interest because of the simple shapes creating strong movement throughout the composition. My eye gets drawn in on the black shapes trying to form an object and then the red and yellow help to move your eye from the black and through the rest of the composition.

Ultra Resolution Photography

Something I've been hearing a lot about lately is ultra high res photography of various settings and objects. Here's is a site with a number of ultra resolution projects...

There are certainly a number of popular uses of this technology, including zoomable online galleries of artworks. There is an example of this on the link above, and it's amazing because you can see the cracks in the paint from this obviously very old piece. Aside from the obvious exhibition possibilities the ability to create a giant masterpiece would certainly be included as a use for designers as well.

Typhography

I like this design very mcuh. It looks very simple, but very unique.
I like the idea of the artist using the typhograohy to explain the girl's curl hair.
Sometimes, I think too deep and could not find a good answer for good design,
but sometimes, complex design as not good as simple design, such as this one.

there are a lot of example for the artist design many different types of logo, typhograpyh, and picture!!!
